Building a Scalable Design System

Before redesigning individual workflows, I established a scalable design system that would become the foundation for the entire platform. The goal was to create consistency, improve collaboration with developers, and enable the product to scale as new features were introduced.

Colors

Colors were organized into semantic tokens to create a consistent visual language across the platform. This simplified implementation, improved accessibility, and standardized user feedback.

  1. Semantic color system

Colors defined by purpose, not appearance.

  2. Accessible contrast

    Improved readability across data-heavy interfaces.

  3. Standardized status colors

Consistent success, warning, error, and information states.
